Confirmed lineups: Union Berlin vs Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich make their restart of the 2019-20 Bundesliga season this afternoon when they are in the capital, away to Union Berlin.

The league leaders saw their lead reduced to a single point yesterday when Borussia Dortmund were thumping 4-0 winners over rivals Schalke 04.

Union Berlin sitting mid-table in their debut Bundesliga campaign and have recorded victories at home to Borussia Dortmund and Borussia Monchengladbach already this season.

The home side appear to be playing a 5-4-1 formation that will shift into a 3-4-3 when in possession. Anthony Ujah will lead the line for them whilst experienced campaigner Neven Subotic is one of three centre-backs in the starting lineup.

Hansi Flick’s side continue to have issues at centre-back as David Alaba continues his role alongside Jerome Boateng in the middle of the back four. The Austrian has played well there this season whilst Lucas Hernandez is back among the substitutes.

Benjamin Pavard and Alphonso Davies continue to offer good attacking support from full-back, whilst Thiago Alcantara and Leon Goretzka in the middle of the park will create a number of chances this afternoon.

Robert Lewandowski claims to be in the best physical shape of his life and will be supported by fellow goalscoring threats Thomas Muller and Serge Gnabry in attack today.
