The top clubs in the Bundesliga look set for a hectic summer as they strive to build squads that can compete for honours next season.
There are expected to be plenty of high-profile transfers during the next window that could have a major impact on the 2020/21 campaign in Germany. Read on as we take a look at some of the possible incomings and outgoings at Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig this summer.
Bayern eager to continue their dominance
As highlighted by the Bundesliga betting tips page, Bayern have been the dominant force in the Bundesliga in recent times and will be eager for that to continue next term.
One of the biggest issues the title favourites will need to resolve this summer is the future of long-serving goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.
The 34-year-old’s contract has just over a year remaining on his current contract and he is yet to agree a new deal with the club.
One player who could be on his way to Bayern during the transfer window is much-wanted RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano.
The 21-year-old has been linked with a host of Premier League clubs, but Bayern are currently the only club who have registered a formal interest in the player.
Big year in store for Haaland at Dortmund
Dortmund are expected to be active during the summer window, but one player who won’t be moving on is Braut Erling Haaland.
Despite only signing for the club in January, the striker has been continually linked with the likes of Manchester United and Real Madrid.
Haaland has a release clause in his contract, but that cannot be triggered until the end of next season and he is fully expected to remain with Dortmund.
However, Jadon Sancho looks set to return to England this summer, with the winger being strongly tipped to sign for United.
Ferran Torres could be Sancho’s replacement, with Dortmund believed to have bid £35 million for the Valencia winger.
Leipzig braced for major upheaval
Leipzig are famed for nurturing future talent before selling them on for a big profit and this summer looks set to follow that pattern.
Upamecano is odds-on to move elsewhere, while forward Timo Werner is likely to be another high-profile outgoing transfer.
Liverpool are leading the race to sign the German international who has scored 27 goals in 36 appearances this term.
Marcel Sabitzer has also been linked with a summer move, with Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur battling to sign the Austrian midfielder.
Those potential outgoings could hit Leipzig hard and they may find it difficult to keep pace with Bayern and Dortmund next season.
