Haaland makes Bundesliga history

Teenage sensation Erling Haaland continues to make history just one month after officially joining Borussia Dortmund.

The 19-year-old joined from Red Bull Salzburg during the winter transfer window and made an instant impact by coming off the bench to score a hat-trick in the 5-3 win at FC Augsburg on his debut. Haaland then added two more the following weekend, again as a substitute, in the 5-1 victory over Cologne.

Lucien Favre handed a first start for the Norwegian international this weekend, allowing Erling Haaland to write another chapter in Bundesliga history. The striker scored another brace in this weekend’s 5-0 thrashing of Union Berlin at Signal Iduna Park, becoming the first player to score seven goals in his first three Bundesliga appearances.

What’s more, Haaland has scored with seven of his eight attempts in the top flight, with that one non-successful effort being off target. This means no goalkeeper is yet to make a save from the hitman.

Erling Haaland has taken just 135 minutes to score those seven Bundesliga goals for Borussia Dortmund, but this is actually only second to Paco Alcacer. The Spaniard, who’s recently moved to Villarreal, scored seven goals in his first 106 minutes in Germany…
