1899 Hoffenheim have completed the signing of Jacob Bruun Larsen from fellow Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund.
The 21-year-old has signed a four-and-a-half year deal at the PreZero Arena until 30 June 2024, the club have confirmed. Neither club disclosed details of the transfer.
Bruun Larsen is a Danish international who is primarily an attacking player but can be used in a number of positions. Being left-footed he has been used out on the left wing and in a central attacking midfield role by Lucien Favre.
Due to the talent on Dortmund’s roster, the Danish international had made only four Bundesliga appearances (2 starts) this season and was deemed surplus to requirements at Signal Iduna Park. He had been with BVB since the age of 16, making his debut in October 2016. He went on to play 29 Bundesliga games for Borussia Dortmund and a further seven appearances in the Champions League.
Jacob Bruun Larsen could make his 1899 Hoffenheim debut as early as tomorrow when Alfred Schreuder’s side host Bayer 04 Leverkusen in the Bundesliga.
