Bayern’s Cuisance sidelined

Bayern Munich midfielder Michaël Cuisance has been ruled out for the “short term” through injury, the club have announced.

The 20-year-old arrived at the Allianz Arena from Borussia Mönchengladbach in a €12 million deal over the summer but has made just two Bundesliga substitute appearances totalling 29 minutes this season.

Cuisance faces a lot of competition for a starting place in Hans-Dieter Flick’s midfield has been handed a blow of making any more appearances over the next few games, the record champions of Germany have confirmed.

The France U20 international made his Bayern Munich debut on 31 August, coming on for the final 11 minutes in the 6-1 thrashing of Mainz 05. His final game to date were the final 18 minutes of the 4-0 victory over FC Köln on 21 September. He has since been playing for Herbert Hainer’s Bayern Munich II since, scoring twice in four starts.

Though the club have not confirmed what the injury is, club doctor Dr. Hans-Wilhelm Müller-Wohlfahrt revealed the midfielder’s injury in a medical examination.
