2. Bundesliga side Greuther Fürth have completed the signing of Paul Seguin on a permanent basis from VfL Wolfsburg.
The 24-year-old has spent the second half of this campaign on loan at the Cloverleaves. Greuther Fürth activated their purchase option agreed when he moved on loan at Sportpark Ronhof in January. Neither club has disclosed details of the transfer.
Seguin came through the youth ranks at Wolfsburg having been part of the side that won the Under-19 Bundesliga title in 2013. He didn’t make his Bundesliga debut until 23 April 2016 but has only made a total of 26 top flight appearances for the Wolves. He picked up his sole cap for the Germany Under-21s in 2016.
He spent the 2017-18 campaign on loan in the 2. Bundesliga with Dynamo Dresden. The holding midfielder’s performances for Greuther Fürth over the past four months have greatly impressed the coaching team that they have taken up their opportunity to make the move permanent.
