Bayern Munich have announced they have agreed a deal with HV to sign Germany Under-19 international Jann-Fiete Arp.
The 19-year-old striker has an option to join the Bavarians this summer or in the 2020-21 Bundesliga season. The decision will be made by Arp himself.
Arp scored two goals in 18 Bundesliga appearances (8 starts) for the Old Dinosaur in his debut campaign last season but couldn’t prevent HSV from being relegated to the 2. Bundesliga for the first time in the historic club’s history. He became the first Bundesliga player born this millennium when he made his debut in the Nordderby last season.
However, Jann-Fiete Arp appears to be suffering from second season syndrome in the second tier this season as he struggles in front of goal in Hannes Wolf’s side.
He has certainly shone for German international youth teams – scoring seven goals in the 2017 UEFA European Under-17 Championship and five goals at the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup the same year.
